A place for your child to develop friendships

The Kardi room is an inclusive environment where your child will start to develop friendships. Your child will be encouraged to express their needs through verbal language, and our daily routine provides opportunities for them to explore and discover their interests through play.

Our Kardi room caters for children from 3 to 4 years of age and provides one qualified educator to every ten children to ensure your child feels cared for and safe at all times.

Kardi

The Program

In the Kardi room, your child will start to develop relationships with other children through shared play, empathy, resilience and collaboration. Your child will use verbal language to express their needs for hunger, hygiene and toileting. As their independence grows, they’ll develop reasoning and problem-solving skills as well as positive self-esteem, and a sense of their own identity and emotional wellbeing.

We start each day’s group time by singing our Ninna Marni welcome song followed by the children and educators coming together to determine the plans for the day. This encourages each child to help decide which stimulating learning and play activities they’d like to experience each day.

In the Kardi room, we follow the Early Years Learning Framework and methods influenced by the research of Lev Vygotsky. We focus on the five developmental milestones being physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language. By implementing learning through play, we support your child as they discover the world around them and make making sense of how and where they belong.
